Many years ago while visiting my parents in Maryland, I went to the Maryland State Fair. As I was walking around and getting very hungry, I saw a sign for a hot dog eating contest. I said to myself, “LUNCH!” I went over to the grandstand and signed up. It was nothing like what you see today at eating contests, just a bunch of large men waiting for the chance to be encouraged to overindulge in large amounts of fatty foods.

As I walked up on stage, I noticed that I was the smallest person up there by far! I said to myself “I’ll do what I can.” Wouldn’t you know it; I ended up winning by eating 22 hotdogs and buns in 11 minutes. Second place was 20 in 11 minutes by a man that was at least twice my size. The Roman Rule: “The one who says it cannot be done should never interrupt the one who is doing it.”

Whodunnit?
